Uttar Basti is a specialized Ayurvedic Panchakarma therapy mainly used for the treatment of disorders related to the urinary and reproductive systems. The word “Uttar” means “upward” and “Basti” means “enema.” In this procedure, medicated oils or decoctions are administered into the urinary bladder or uterus through the urethra or vaginal route under sterile conditions.
